How To Work with Application Configuration Packages
To work effectively with Custom Objects and Application Configuration
Packages, IFS R&D has recommendations regarding how to manage the creation of
new Custom Objects and how to handle already existing configurations with the
support of ACPs.

IFS R&D suggests the following process when creating new Custom Objects:
- Create the Custom Object configuration in a Test environment
- Test the newly created Custom Object in the Test environment
- Add it to an ACP
- Export the ACP from the Test environment
- Import the ACP to the Production environment and publish it
When modifying an existing Custom Object these steps are recommended to
follow:
- In the Production environment, add the Custom Object configuration to an
ACP (if it is not already added to one)
- Export the ACP
- Import the ACP to a Test environment
- Modify and test the configuration in the Test environment
- Export the ACP from the Test environment
- Import the ACP to the Production environment and publish it
