Create Custom Logical Unit
Configuring a custom logical unit involves naming and deciding which
attributes it should have. The name should reflect the business object you want
to create. The attributes are the characteristics of the business object.
- In IFS Enterprise Explorer, open the Custom
Logical Unit page in Solution Manager.
- Create a new record and give your new logical unit a name and a prompt.
- If a new projection connected to your LU needs to be created (while deploying), check the 'Create Projection' checkbox.
- Save the logical unit record.
- In the Attributes table, add a new record to start the custom attribute
wizard, and add one or more
Custom Attributes. these can be both in the form of
Persistent and
Read Only attributes.
- If the records in your LU needs to be uniquely identifiable, one or
more of the attributes can be part of a unique constraint by checking the
Alternate Key checkboxes.
-
Approve at
least one of the attributes and the logical unit.
-
Publish the logical
unit.
- Optionally add
Translations to your LU and attributes.
