Performance will be dependent on the query being executed, amount of data and physical status of the underlying SQL Server Analysis Services instance in case of Cube Data sources and IFS Applications database instance in case of Information Sources.
Static set of MDX and SQL constructs will be used based on the design of the data source. There are no tuning possibilities built in to the designers.
