Using "Show Items with no data on rows"

"Show Items with no data on rows" creates cross joins including empty items as well.

This will result in set multiplications (cross joins) for all the hierarchies used in the query. Which is expensive. Therefore it is recommended to use this functionality with minimum number of hierarchies as possible.

Filtering

Filters on Measure Items requires the set multiplications performed before the filtering is applied. Therefore it is advisable to use filter using dimension items before the Measure Item filtering is applied.
