Contents

Oracle Directory Location

This is the location where the archived files will be stored. This can either be a folder within the database server or a folder within the network.  If the location is a local folder in the database server, you can simply provide the absolute path of the folder (e.g., C:\Media_Archive\Folder_Name). For a location on the network location refer to instructions under Configuring Oracle File Storage to use a Shared Folder.

Configuring Oracle File Storage to use a Shared Folder

In order to use a shared folder as an archive location the Oracle server must be started by a network user who has read/write access to the shared folder. This shared folder must then be entered in the Archive Location field in the Media Archives window.
