Data Migration

The Data Migration Configuration Guide is the primary document to create and configure data migration jobs.

The target for this guide is an application consultant or a super user who possesses adequate understanding of IFS Application components, their structure and logical relationships, SQL and PL/SQL languages.

Data Migration can be used to transfer data from external sources like flat files or database tables/views to an IFS Application instance through application business logic. This ensure that the data migrated is valid at the destination. Data Migration can also be used to migrate data out of a IFS Application system. This can be via flat files or replicate data out via CONNECT/BizAPI using XML.
