IFS Applications is possible to run with different languages. This form is used to set characteristics on languages used in IFS Applications.

Changing characteristics on languages has impact during creation of an Oracle session. Changing these characteristics will change how the system behaves for the specific language.

| Language Code | Language code used to uniquely identify a language in IFS Applications. |
| RFC 3066 | Alternate Primary Key, follows the RFC 3066 standard. |
| Description | Description of the language |
| Open for translation | Shows whether a language can be translated or not in Term Application tool. |
| Translation installed | Shows whether a translation has been installed for this language. |
| Nls Language | During login when language is set also database session characteristic is set. Nls Language has amongst others impact on sorting and displaying dates. Check Oracle globalization manual for more information. |
| Nls Territory | During login when language is set also database session characteristic is set. Nls Territory has amongst others impact on local time format, date format, and numeric and monetary conventions. Check Oracle globalization manual for more information. |
| Nls Date Format | If set this setting changes the servers default date format. |
| Nls Time Format | If set this setting changes the servers default time format. |
It is possible to refresh the Language Dictionary Cache for all languages that are Open For Translation. To do this select a row right click and select menu item Refresh Language Cache. Note: This is only available on sites with an IFS Development License.
