Technical Environment Report

The Technical Environment Report can provide information to IFS about your technical environment.
Information in the Technical Environment Report can make it easier for IFS to allocate the right resources to your support case and can therefore minimize the solution time.

All the information in the report is automatically generated from the different parts of the environment. Information in the report is read-only and can not be changed.
Depending on your security settings you may get a warning saying that the application tried to do something that was not permitted while gathering the information. This is expected behavior with some configurations and not an error.

  1. Click the "Send to IFS..." button. This will open a dialog that lets you save the information on the screen as an XML-file. Save the XML-file to a location on your computer. It's important that the file ending is ".xml".
Note: Do not modify the XML-file.
  2. When you have saved the file, it will open a pre-formatted email addressed to an account at IFS. Add the XML-file as an attachment to the email.
Your security settings may prevent IFS Applications from creating the email. In this case you will see a message that asks you to manually create the email and send it to IFS. The email address to be used is shown in the message.
  3. Send the email with the XML-file attached.
