IFS Aurena can utilize different verification types for Security Checkpoint User verification. The verification type is dependent on the authentication method used in the installation.

NOTE: Verification type PIN-Code is only applicable in IFS Aurena. When PIN-Code is applied in IFS Aurena, then Enterprise Explorer is still using DB Authentication or LDAP for verification.
PIN Code verification type can be used with any authentication method. This verification type utilizes Username and a PIN Code for Security Checkpoints verification. The PIN Code functions as a password, but is only used for Security Checkpoint verification. The PIN Code is stored safe and secure.
PIN Code restrictions
Each User has their own PIN Code. The User is able to set and change their PIN Code. If the User forgets their PIN Code, then the Administrator needs to reset the Users PIN Code.
The User can only set and change their PIN Code it is current verification type. Otherwise, the User PIN Code administration is disabled.
If the User don't have a PIN Code, then the User can set their first PIN Code on the page PIN Code under My Administration.
If the User wants to change their PIN Code, it can be done on the page PIN Code under My Administration. The User needs to provide their current PIN Code to set a new.
Only the Administrator can reset the a Users PIN Code. If a User has forgotten their PIN Code, they need to contact the Administrator, which initializes a reset. This is done on the *Users page
The Users PIN Code state is then reset and the User can set a new PIN Code.
