Buttons should have a margin on all sides of 3 pixels (visual studio
default), so that both the horizontal and vertical distance between
neighboring buttons becomes 6 pixels.
Dialogs should not have a window icon in the window title.
Dialog boxes should never have tool bar or status bar.
Dialog boxes should not have a grip handle, even
if they are resizable
Modal dialog boxes should be resizable when they contain at least one

there are no controls that benefit from a larger size then the dialog should
not be resizable
Modal dialogs should not show in the Windows task bar (ShowInTaskBar=False)
Placement of buttons in dialog boxes:
Button size should not be smaller than the default size. If a button in

buttons should have the same size.
Buttons should be placed either along the right hand side of the dialog
from the top down, or along the bottom of the dialog from the right side
moving left - for framework dialogs, buttons are normally right aligned at
bottom of dialog. The order of buttons at bottom should be <any other
button>, OK, Cancel, Apply
For application dialogs, buttons are normally placed along the right
hand side. The order of buttons along the right hand side should be
OK,
Cancel, List, Get Defaults, <any other buttons>
OK should be default accept button and Cancel should be default Cancel
button in the dialog
