Add Serials to Rotable Pool

Explanation

This activity is used when you want to add inventory part serials to a company- or customer-owned rotable part pool. Alternate inventory parts serials of the primary part number, defined in the header section of the Rotable Part Pool page, can also be added.

On the Serials tab in the Rotable Part Pool page, then click Add Serials. The Add Serials to Rotable Pool page opens. Then set Add Serials toggle button is True to select a specific serial.

Prerequisites

• The Pool Diff Qty must be greater than zero.
• The primary part number defined in the header section of the Rotable Part Pool page must exist as an inventory part at the sites selected on the Sites tab in the Rotable Part Pool page.
• The inventory parts must be in stock.
• Parts must be present in standard inventory (Parts in project inventory cannot be added as serials to a rotable pool).

System Effects

As a result of this activity, one or many serials will be added to the rotable part pool.
