Calculate OEE

Explanation

Use this activity to calculate the Availability, Performance, Quality, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Total Effective Equipment Performance (TEEP) values per workday and work center resource. Refer to About Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for more details of the OEE calculation.

OEE values can be calculated either online or as a background job using the Calculate OEE assistant, or as a scheduled task.

The calculation is performed for the resource(s) on the selected work center and time period. If you schedule the calculation, the time period is defined as an offset of workdays relative to the day when the job is executed. I.e., an offset from 3 to 1 would calculate the OEE values from 3 workdays ago until previous workday as defined in the work center calendar.

Note: If the calculation is performed for several days, the OEE values are anyway calculated per workday. The transaction date on the operation and machine downtime history transactions are used to identify the time and quantity for each workday. The calculation is only performed for completed workdays. I.e., workdays where the end time defined in the calendar has passed when the calculation is executed.
