Connect a Technical Drawing Revision
Explanation
This activity is used to connect a technical drawing revision to an engineering
part revision or inventory part revision. A user can connect a technical drawing
revision which is already entered on the Technical Drawing
page, using the list of values selector, if the technical drawing is connected
to the relevant master part.
Technical drawing revision can be connected as following:
- When technical drawing is connected to the master part, then you can
connect the technical drawing revisions on the Engineering Part
Revisions and Part Revisions pages
using the list of values selector.
- During the engineering revision transfer process, the part revisions
will be created including drawing revisions, if engineering part revisions
have technical drawing revisions connected.
On the Engineering Part Revisions page, it is possible
to change the connected technical drawing revision at any time. On the
Part Revision page, it is not possible to change the technical
drawing revision if the part revision record is created by the engineering revision
transfer process. If not, technical drawing revision can be changed at any time.
Prerequisites
- A technical drawing number and drawing revisions must be added on the
Technical Drawing page.
- Technical drawing number must be connected to the master part.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- A technical drawing revision is connected to the engineering part revision
and/or part revision.
- Engineering transfer process will transfer the technical drawing revision
along with engineering revision (if technical drawing revision is connected
to the engineering revision).
