Use this activity to create an operation on a routing, routing template or shop order by adding a standard operation.
A standard operation is added using the Add Standard Operation dialog.

In the Add Standard Operation dialog set the operation number and select the standard operation to use. If the standard operation is added to a routing or a routing template also decide whether the standard operation should be copied or referenced. If you copy the standard operation, changing the standard operation in a later stage will not affect the copied instances. If you reference the standard operation, the routing/routing template operation will be a candidate for update in case any values on the standard operation are changed.
This activity requires a standard operation to be defined on the Standard Operation page.
As a result of this activity, the system creates an operation on a routing, routing template or shop order based on a standard operation. If the standard operation should be referenced, a reference is added on the routing/routing template operation and the routing/routing template operation will be a candidate for update in case any values on the standard operation are changed.
