Define Scheduling Resource Type

Explanation

This activity is used to define the Scheduling Resource Types that are valid for a company. Each Scheduling Resource Type can be set up to be applicable to a Resource Type of either Person or Crew. It is possible to define start and end locations for a work shift, maximum travel time, overtime and snap time per shift, travel profile and costs such as scheduling cost per hour and scheduling cost per overtime hour, whether the lunches should be flexible. The start and end locations are defined by using valid address IDs of the company.

The Scheduling Resource Types are connected to Scheduling Resources and provide the resource with default scheduling information i.e. if no resource specific data has been entered, the resource will inherit the scheduling data from the Scheduling Resource Type. The Active flag can be used to disable or enable a resource type. Only the active resource types are possible to connect to a resource. For more information about Scheduling Resources.
