Create Quotation when Initiating the Request
Explanation
This activity is used to create a Request Quotation when initiating a Request
via the New Request Assistant. After entering mandatory data to create the Request,
the Quotation Needed option will be enabled. You can create a Quotation for the Request
Scope after entering the required data.
Prerequisites
- Prerequisites to create a Request should be fulfilled.
- Customer should be defined in the Customer
page.
- The Service should be defined in the Service Catalog.
- The Service Organization needs to be connected to the Service in the
Service Catalog.
- If needed, the Reported Item (Model or Object) should be defined:
- The Object should be defined in Service Object
page and connected to the customer as a Party in the
Parties tab.
- The Model should be defined in the Model
page.
- If needed, the Request Contracts should be defined with a Contract Line
with a Price Rule, that covers the specified Reported Item.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, a Request Scope and a Request quotation will be
created for the request.
