Page Search Pane

Page search pane allows to filter records within an IFS Cloud records page. Each drop-down menu in the search pane corresponds to a field within a specific section.

Page Search Pane - Filter Option

Note: Although certain fields are not visible within the components, they may still be included as search criteria. You can filter records based on these fields.

The table below elaborates the page search pane:

A Advanced Search
  • First, click the Advanced option to access the Advance Search Query Field.
  • Add any advanced search queries in the field, to search data within the Page.

Green QueryGreen : Search Query is correct.

 

 

Red QueryRed : Search Query is wrong.

 

 

ReseizeAdjust the dimensions of the Advanced Search Query Field by clicking and dragging the resize icon located at the bottom right corner of the field.

  • First, click More drop down menu to access all the fields associated with Page Search Pane.
  • Enter a field name in the Filter fields section to locate the desired field.
  • Then, click the Reset button to deselect your selection and revert to the default checkbox field selections.
  • Finally, click the Checkbox next to a field to add it to the Page Search Pane.

C Favorites
  • Filter for the records which are marked as favorites.

D Initiate Search
  • Initiate your page search after selecting all the search criteria by clicking the Search button.

Note: Note: When you use a filter in the Page Search Pane to find specific records, it also influences the Record Selector. This means that the record selector will only display records that match the filters you applied in the page search pane.  For more information on record selector go to : Record Selector.

E Saved Searches
  • First, click on the Saved Searches drop down menu to View / Manage all the page search configurations saved previously.
  • Next, click on any Saved Search Title to add those filters to page search pane.
  • Finally, click on Run Latest Search to perform the most recent page search.

Save Search

  • Firstly, click the Save Search option to save your current search configuration.

  • Fill in the fields:
    • Name : Fill the Name field with a desired name for the Search category.
    • Notes : Add any notes / comments regarding the search category in the Notes field.
    • Search for : This section cannot be modified and it is prefilled with all the search criteria selected on Search Pane.

Manage Saved Searches

  • Firstly, click the Manage Saved Searches option to modify your saved page searches.

  • Next, click on the Saved Search drop down menu to select the Saved Search record you wish to modify.
  • Fill in the fields:
    • Name : Modify the Name of the Saved Search.
    • Notes : Modify the Notes of the Saved Search.
    • Search for : This section cannot be modified and it is pre-filled with all the search criteria selected on Search Pane.

Search

Apply the modifications and initiate search.

Copy Link

Copy the link for IFS cloud page with all the modified Search Pane criteria.

Delete

Delete the saved search.

Cancel

Cancel the modification.

F 3 Dot Menu

The 3 dot menu provides access to additional capabilities in Search Pane.

Count

Shows a pop-up message with a record count (with / without filters).

Search Settings

Modify the Page Search interactions by utilizing the options in Search Settings menu.

  • Run Search defines how a search should be triggered in Page Search Pane. The following options are offered by run search :
  • When criteria is changed (As soon as you change a search criteria).
  • Only when search button pressed (Wait until you press the Search button).
  • Startup behavior selects which data to be shown in the page when it first opened.
  • Show default data.
  • Use Search - Show data according to the filters defined in Search Pane. It facilitates the user to:
  • New Search - Populate the data after performing a new search.
  • Run latest search - Populate the data according to most recent search.
  • Saved search - Populate the data according to a saved search criteria.
  • Select the search criteria can be selected from the drop down menu which appears when you select Saved search radio button.

Drop Down Filter Field Options

Drop Down Filter Fields encompass exclusive features that offer extensive capabilities to help you pinpoint your desired results within the page.

A Clear Applied Filter Use this button to clear all the applied filters for the section.

B Match Case Click the Match Case(B) button to precisely match the input of the search/filter.

C Syntax Use this option to view all the accessible syntax. Refer to the Supported Syntax section in this guide for details.

Upon clicking this button, a new menu will open, presenting all the supported syntaxes for the section.

D Filter Input Field Use this field to input filter criteria.

F Expand / Collapse Results Utilize this option to expand or collapse the results that appear when you input a value into the Filter Input Field (D).
Up and Down Arrow
G Clear Results Use this option to clear the filter search results.
H Find Utilize this option to open the slide-out menu containing all the values for the field. This allows you to manually locate the filter you are searching for.

 Filter Records Based on a Date/Time Value In a Different Timezone.

In the Page Search Pane, Date/Time fields include a separate timezone selection drop down menu, allowing you to select a date/time values in a timezone other than your current working timezone.

Records added to the system could have been created with different date/time values in various timezones. After applying this condition to Page Search, all records created between 00:00 and 24:00 in your selected timezone on the chosen date will be displayed.

Filter Time Zone

Note: Upon selecting a date/time value different from your current working timezone, a timezone badge will appear in the applied filter to indicate your chosen timezone.
