Copy Complete Structure from DOP
Explanation
This activity is used to create a DOP structure and routings from a previously manufactured DOP part.
This is done using the Create DOP Structure/Routing dialog. To open the dialog click
DOP Structure, then click Create DOP Structure. In the dialog enable the Copy DOP
Structure/Routing from other DOP setting. In the Create DOP Structure/Routing from other
DOP section select the DOP ID and the DOP order ID for the structure you want to copy in the DOP
to copy from area.
Prerequisites
- The DOP header status should be Created.
- The DOP structure cannot be created for parts with a recipe structure.
- If the DOP header part is serial effective and serial numbers are reserved, no copying can be made. If no
serial numbers are reserved, the copy function is available.
System Effects
- DOP orders are created with a quantity and in a structure as a copy of another DOP structure.
- The status of the DOP orders will be Unreleased unless Auto Release has been enabled in the
Settings section on the Details tab on the DOP
Header page. In that case, the status will be Released. Releasing a DOP order means
generating a shop order or a purchase requisition for the DOP order.
- If a DOP order is serial effective, the break done will stop on the DOP order and a log will be created. The
log will be displayed in the DOP Logs page.
- If serial numbers are reserved for the DOP header, they are moved to the top DOP order.
- The routing revision, routing alternate, component work guidelines, routing work guidelines, and routing
operation tools will be copied to each DOP order.
- If the routing is serial effective and no serial numbers are reserved for the DOP order a DOP log is created,
but the creation of the structure will continue.
- The due dates and start dates are set for each DOP order in the structure. For information on how this is
done, see Plan DOP Orders.
- If the site has Schedule and Create Load for DOP Order Operations enabled, machine and labor
load of source Scheduled DOP are created for the DOP order operations based on the quantity
remaining to supply on the DOP orders, plus the planned supply scrap for that quantity. This applies to the DOP
orders with manufactured parts that have the status Unreleased and Create
Pegged set to Pegged Orders.
