Create and View a Work Package Pick List
Explanation
Use this activity to create a pick list for the parts reserved against a work package, and to open an existing
pick list, directly from the Aircraft Work Package page. A pick list is what the
warehouse uses to pick the reserved parts and stage them for the work package before they are issued to the
tasks.
The Pick List commands appear on the Aircraft Work Package page only
after the work package has been published to execution. Reserving the parts is a separate, earlier step. See
Auto Reservation of Tools / KITs / Parts.
Prerequisites
- The work package has been published to execution. Until then, the Pick List commands are not
shown on the Aircraft Work Package page.
- The required parts are connected to the work package and reserved, and the required quantity is available in
inventory.
- Create Pick List is available when there are eligible reserved parts and no pick list yet
exists for the work package. View Pick List is available when a pick list already exists.
Procedure
- Open the work package on the Aircraft Work Package page.
- Open the Pick List command group.
- To create a pick list, select Create Pick List. The pick list is created for the work
package's reserved parts.
- To open an existing pick list, select View Pick List.
System Effects
- A pick list is created for the work package. Once a part is on the pick list, it is issued through the pick
list rather than directly from the source.
- View Pick List opens the pick list created for the work package.
