Cancel Task

Explanation

You can cancel maintenance tasks you created in Maintenance Execution using Create Task when the work should not proceed. Tasks created only in CAMO or through other flows cannot be cancelled from Maintenance Execution using this activity.

Cancel Task is available on the Task Details and Fault Details pages when you are viewing the related executable task. The option is shown when the task was created in Maintenance Execution using Create Task and the task status is Active.

When you select Cancel Task, the Cancel Task assistant opens. Select a Cancellation Cause (required). You can optionally enter a Cancellation Comment. Confirm the cancellation to cancel the task or fault.

 Prerequisites

• The task must have been created using the Create Task activity.
• The task must be in Active or Committed status.
• At least one Cancel Cause must be configured in Aviation Maintenance > Solution Configuration > Maintenance Execution Basic Data > Cancel Causes, with the Work Task toggle enabled.

System Effects

• The task status changes to Cancelled.
• The cancellation is recorded on the Events tab with the cause and comment you provided.
