Create an ad hoc task for a work package

You can manually create ad hoc tasks on the Work Package Details page to add them directly to the work package.

  1. On the Work Package Details page, Assigned Tasks tab, click Create New Task.
    Note: You can also create and add an ad hoc task to the workscope for a a work package by navigating to the Workscope tab and clicking Create Task.
  2. On the Select Component page, select the radio button for the component on which the new task should be created.
  3. On the Task Selection page, select the Create Ad-Hoc Task radio button.
  4. On the Task Selection page, in the Task Information area, provide the required information. Note the following:
    • Name: Enter the name of the task.
    • Subtype: Select the code that identifies the type of task. Examples of this include CLEAN (Cleaning), MOD (Modification), and RMVL (Removal).
    • Work Type(s): Select the work type for the task. Examples of this include LINE (Aircraft Ramp Maintenance) and HEAVY (Aircraft Heavy Maintenance).
    • Document Reference: Enter any links to documentation.
    • Labor Skill: Select the labor skill to add it to the task. You can select only a skill that is assigned to the organization which you belong.
    • Scheduled Hours: Type the scheduled hours for the task.
    • Issue to Account: Select the account to record time and material against.
    • Description: Type the description for the task.
  5. Click OK.
