Long range planning

Long Range Planner (LRP) is a planning tool that you can use to plan heavy maintenance activities for aircraft in your fleet. LRP enables multiple planners to view heavy maintenance activity plotted in a highly accessible Gantt chart. With LRP you can create, modify, and compare plans, and then publish your changes to Maintenix.

LRP is not intended for use in planning engine maintenance, and it does not take into account labor skills.

LRP supports the following planning functions:

  • Adding future aircraft to your fleet.
  • Adding new maintenance locations, and modifying hangar capacities.
  • Defining weekly and seasonal extraction rules for taking aircraft out of service.
  • Modifying aircraft utilization.
  • Including non-routine estimates, or buckets and buffers when calculating durations.
  • Defining location capabilities, such as line, hangar, and paint.
  • Allowing multiple planners to work on a single long range plan.
  • Testing multiple what-if scenarios to see the impact of altered aircraft usage and work package start/end dates, without changing your original information.
