Application server, HTTP Server and cluster configuration

This form allows configuring which ports to listen to internally and which machines that should be included in the cluster. In order to understand what information that is needed here and to avoid problems please read Understanding IFS Middleware Server.

Cluster Member Configuration

Configure the administration and monitoring users, information about the machine (master node) and which ports to use by IFS Middleware Server during runtime. By default, only one machine will be configured with two clusters, Main Cluster and Integration Cluster, where each cluster holds one server (MainServer1 and IntServer1 respectively). More machines and servers can be added post installation in the Admin Console. Cluster configuration can not be changed in the installer after the initial fresh install.

  2. There is 'Prerequisite Check' part in the UI that checks if the machine has all the recommended packages installed. Click the 'Check' button. If not all recommended packages are installed, it is still possible to continue but it is not recommended. Please install the missing packages noted in the warning popup and try the check again.
  3. The installer will try to verify if the selected ports are in use or not and show a warning message in case on or more ports appears to be in use. This does not guarantee that the ports are still available during the installation phase, so avoid using port ranges that might clash with other software on the machine.
