How To Manually Deploy in SSAS

Do the following for each cube to be deployed:

1. Open the corresponding solution file
2. Verify deployment information by RMB clicking on project node, such as IFS_HumanResources in the Solution Explorer, and go to Properties and then Deployment in the Properties window.

   Verify that the target Database name is IFS_BI_<Cube_Name>

   

   

3. Verify the data source, e.g. IFS.ds, has proper connection information for the project in the .sln file, i.e. both server name and database name.

   Right click on the data source, e.g. IFS.ds, and then choose Open. Then choose Edit...

   

   

4. Do not forget to test the connection after editing the data source
5. Deploy the SSAS databases and cubes by RMB clicking on the solution node in the navigator and click Deploy Solution

   

6. Verify that the deployment was successful by checking the Deployment Process window
