File Executor

In the file executor form you can execute an optional tem files like the ial.tem, replication.tem, etc. You can also execute any custom database script you like. You may include compilation of possible invalid objects after execution of a custom script.

Selected the script you would like to execute.

Actions

  1. Select which script you want to execute in the Script to run field (you may browse to find it). If you suspect that your scripts will end up with invalid objects in the database, you could choose to recompile possible invalids afterwards, just check the box. If you just want to recompile invalids without executing any script first, it is possible as well. Click in the Check box and leave Script to run empty.

  2. Browse, or write directly in the field, where you want the output logs from the execution. If you enter the path to folder that doesn't exist, you will be prompted if you want to create a new folder at that path. Note: This is a top location for the log files, a sub folder named fileexec_<timestamp> will be created under this folder. Off course, you must have write access to this directory.

  3. Fill in information for database connection

  4. Enter the oracle user name and password where the user corresponds to your selected script.

    User Which Oracle user should be used. IFSAPP, IFSINFO etc.
    Password User password  

     

  5. Click the Test Connect button to verify the username and password at the given database. A popup tells you whether you manage to connect or not. An error message is available if you did not succeed in connecting the database.

  6. Click Next to continue 

Verify

When all fields contain values that make the installer to continue, i.e. the script you want to run really exists, the lop location for logs exists and you have write access to this director and it is possible to logon to the database and you have clicked Next the Installer will jump to the next form.
 
To close the program click Exit
It's not possible to go to the next step if you haven't written values in all fields. Also, the installer prevent you from continue if the database is not up and running and able to connect with the given logon parameters before.
