Set Field Read Only

Read only fields can be used when you want to display some information to the user, but restrict the possibility of modifying the data. The Update Permissions property of a field can take one of the following values.

• UpdateAllowed: The user can modify the data in the field.
• UpdateAllowedIfNull: The user can add data in the field if the field is empty, but not modify any existing data.
• UpdateNotAllowed: The user cannot modify the data in the field.
   

Note: Do not use the .NET property Enabled to restrict editing. This will only "grey out" the field, but not apply the correct color settings set up in the application settings of IFS Applications. Also it will not be possible to put focus in the field, hence selection and copying of the data will also not be possible.
