Working with Workspace Files

When files exists in project workspace folder (under related component folder) and the project is configured with harvest broker, you can directly call harvest actions by selecting files and going to RMB Harvest menu.

Note:   All these actions are enabled by default since they can called in offline mode. Therefore actions can be called even the IDE currently not connected to a harvest broker. When an action is called it will connect to harvest broker (if it's currently not connected) and check the validity of the called action against selected files. It specific action could not performed it will display an error message.

Checkin..
Adds newly created file into the VCS environment or updates the VCS environment file with the new version, which is already reserved and copied into the user workspace folder. For newly created file you are asked for the VCS Package to perform the task on.

If there are multiple files selected with new and reserved files they are checked in as two steps in separate dialogs.

Checking Existing
Updates the VCS environment file with the new version, which is already reserved and copied into the user workspace folder.

Checkout for Update
Reserves and copies the file from the VCS environment to user workspace folder for update. When you select this option, you are asked for the VCS Package to perform the task.

Checkout for Browse -> For Browse
Gets a copy of the latest version of selected file from the VCS environment to the user workspace folder without reserving it.

Checkout for Browse -> For Browse Selected Version
Gets a copy of the old version of the selected file from the VCS environment to the user workspace folder. When you select this option, a list of versions of the selected file will be displayed where you can select the related version and press OK.

Unreserve
Unlocks the reserved file from the VCS environment.

Show Local Changes
Display list of new and checked out files in the user workspace. From the RMB menu it can call Check In and Revert actions.

Diff Against Older Versions
Check differences between local workspace file and selected version of a file in VCS environment. Also possible to merge changes

Select in Harvest
This action can be called from RMB menu of the component node. You can navigate to the related VCS folder location by calling this action.
