Reschedule Work Package
Explanation
This activity is used in both:
-
7.46.4.1 Schedule Work Package - as Update the Work Package, when the flight
schedule does not match the maintenance window, or the facility is not capable of executing the work package.
After you update the package, review again until both conditions are yes, then schedule the work package. See
Schedule Work Package.
-
7.46.5.1 Schedule Aircraft at a Hangar Location - to reschedule a line work package to an
intermediary hangar location when hangar maintenance is required, for example because of skill shortages or
time allocation mismatches. See Line Maintenance Planning.
You update the schedule in CAMO using the Schedule Work Package - Internal assistant on the
Work Package Details page. Initial scheduling, moving a package to another existing turn, and
publishing a line work package when there is no aircraft turn are described in Schedule Work Package. To change other work package details, see Edit Work Package.
Prerequisites
- The work package has been created.
- Review location capability, parts and tools capacity, and the aircraft flight schedule first. See Review Location, Parts, Tools, and Flight Schedule.
- If you change location when moving the work package to another existing turn, you can only move maintenance
to a location within the same airport as the original schedule. The target turn must already exist and must match
the new schedule. See Schedule Work Package.
Procedure
- Open the work package from the Open Work Packages page or the Work Package
Details page.
- Complete the location, parts and tools, and flight schedule reviews. See Review Location, Parts, Tools, and Flight Schedule.
- On the Work Package Details page, open the Schedule Work Package - Internal
assistant.
- Confirm Aircraft and Work Package No. These fields are displayed and cannot
be changed in the assistant.
- If required, set Service Type(s) and Collection Required.
- Set Scheduled Location. Turn on Only Show Capable Locations if you want the
list to show only locations that can handle the work package. If hangar maintenance is required, select a hangar
location.
- Set Scheduled Start and Scheduled End so they match the maintenance window
and the aircraft flight schedule. These fields are required. Adjust Scheduled Duration (Hours)
if needed.
- If required, enter a Description.
- Select OK to save the new schedule. Select Cancel to close the assistant
without changing the schedule.
- If the work package is in Active or Committed status and Line Maintenance
Execution must show the new window, location, or turn, publish the work package from CAMO. See Publish Work Package.
Publishing a line work package when the aircraft has no inbound or outbound flight (no aircraft turn) is
described in Schedule Work Package.
System Effects
- The work package scheduled location and scheduled start and end are updated.
- After you publish from CAMO, Line Maintenance Execution associates the work package with an aircraft turn
that matches the published schedule when such a turn exists. The work package appears on the new turn and no
longer on the previous one.
