Schedule Work Package

Explanation

You can schedule a line work package after it is created, or reschedule it if the maintenance window or location changes. Use the Schedule Work Package - Internal assistant on the Work Package Details page. Set Scheduled Start, Scheduled End, and Scheduled Location. Turn on Only Show Capable Locations to list only locations that can handle the work package.

Set the scheduled start, scheduled end, and the maintenance location where the work will be performed. You can define scheduled start and end first and add the location later.

To review location capability, parts and tools capacity, and the aircraft flight schedule before you schedule, see Review Location, Parts, Tools, and Flight Schedule. If the flight schedule does not match the maintenance window, or the facility is not capable of executing the work package, update the schedule and review again. See Reschedule Work Package. To move a LINE work package to a hangar location after those reviews, see the same topics.

When the aircraft has scheduled flights, align the work package window with the flight schedule and the aircraft turn where execution will happen. Before you commit the workscope or start work, the work package must be fully scheduled—including start, end, and location.

Once the work package is scheduled, the system generates a work package number.

Move the work package to another existing turn

To move the work package to another existing turn, reschedule it in CAMO so the times and location match that turn. If you change location, you can only move maintenance to a location within the same airport as the original schedule. The target turn must already exist and must match the new schedule.

Publish a line work package without an aircraft turn

You can schedule and publish a line work package when the aircraft has no inbound flight and no outbound flight (no aircraft turn). This differs from moving a work package to another existing turn, which requires a turn that matches the schedule.

After you reschedule a work package in Active or Committed status, publish it from CAMO so Line Maintenance Execution updates: the work package appears on the new turn and no longer on the previous one. For publish steps and verification in execution, see Publish Work Package.

Changes to the flight schedule

If an inbound flight is rescheduled later so that the scheduled arrival is after the work package's scheduled start, or an outbound flight is rescheduled earlier so that the scheduled departure is before the work package's scheduled start, Line Maintenance Execution can keep showing the work package on the original turn until the Line Planner reschedules the work package in CAMO and publishes.
