Create a sub-assembly service bulletin

Depending on the SB, you may have to perform this procedure multiple times, once for each sub-assembly to which the SB applies.

  1. On the Reference Document Search page, click Create Reference Document.
  2. On the Create Reference Document page, provide the requested information, paying attention to the following fields:
    • Reference Document Type: Select Config Slot.
    • Code: Enter the SB number.
    • Name: Enter the SB name or subject.
    • Assembly: Select the applicable aircraft sub-assembly.
    • Config Slot: Select the lowest level configuration slot so as to cover all components affected by the SB.
    • Class: Select SB (Service Bulletin).
    • Subclass: Select the appropriate subclass.
    • Originator: Select SB (Service Bulletin).
    • Received By: The default is your user name. If the SB was received by someone else, enter that person's user name.
    • Received Date: Enter the date you received the SB.
    • Issued By: Select MANUFACT.
    • Manufacturer: Select the manufacturer that issued the SB.
    • Issue Date: Enter the date that the manufacturer issued the SB.
    • Amendment Number: Enter the SB amendment number, if applicable.
    • Applicability Description: Enter the SB applicability/effectivity.
    • Description: Enter a description for the SB.
    • Revision Contact: The default is your user name. If someone else is responsible for dispositioning the SB, enter that person's user name.
  3. Complete the remaining fields as required, and click OK.
