Stock availability
For a stock number, on the Stock Details page, Availability tab, you can see an overview of what stock is located at various supply locations, who owns it, the restock level, what's available, on order, in transit, awaiting inspection, in repair, etc.
You might use this information, in conjunction with viewing other tabs such as Stock Lows, to make decisions or adjust stock levels for supply locations. These quantities on the Availability tab include alternate parts assigned to the stock number. Note that there is a distinction between stock that a material planner can consider as available for planning and use purposes and stock that is financially owned by the operator.
| Column name | Description |
|---|---|
| Location | Quantities are shown in separate lines for each supply location that you see on the tab. |
| Owner | In each location, quantities that belong to different owners, such operators or vendors, are displayed on separate lines. Inventory on order or awaiting a receiving inspection is owned by a vendor, as is consignment inventory. |
| Restock Level |
The restock level is specified when the stock level is set for the stock number. Stock low actions are triggered when the stock quantity drops below this number. |
| On Order | The quantity of items ordered in response to a part or stock request. The count includes purchase, consignment, and borrow order items for orders that were issued. After a shipment for an order is received, the items are counted in other columns such as Serviceable/Avail, Serviceable/Resvd, etc. Items received in INSPREQ condition are counted in Unserviceable/Await Insp. |
| Serviceable/Avail | The quantity of loose, unreserved, inventory items in RFI condition. This count increases as RFI items are received, inspected as serviceable etc, and decreases when items are issued, exchanged out, etc. |
| Serviceable/RFB | The quantity of loose, unreserved, items in Ready for Build condition (RFI, but incomplete and missing mandatory sub-components.) Only displayed if the Ready for Build feature is enabled. |
| Serviceable/Resvd | The quantity of loose inventory items reserved for part or stock requests. |
| Serviceable/Xfer |
The quantity of items in ready for issue (RFI) or inspection required (INSPREQ) condition that are in transit (in a shipment) between the supply location and another location outside the supply location. This includes inventory that's being shipped after the SHIPREQ stock low action reserved and created a shipment for remote inventory, and the shipment was sent from the supplier. This column can also include quantities displayed as (PENDING:). These
quantities are shown in this column, but are also counted in
other columns.
