Finish or stop work on tasks with step skills

On the Work Capture page, if there are steps with skills, then you provide additional work capture information. For the skill in the labor row you are stopping or finishing, you change the step skill status.

This topic describes job cards that have step skills added to the task definition. For job cards with no step skills added, see Finish or stop work on a task or fault.
  1. Go to the Task Details page, Task Execution tab.
  2. In the Labor area, on a labor row that's assigned to you, do one of the following:
    • If the work for your labor row is not complete, click Job Stop.
    • If the work for your labor row is complete, click Finish.

If more than one labor row is assigned to you, ensure that you select the row with the correct skill, certification and Independent Inspection requirement for the work you are recording.

  3. If prompted, enter your password and click OK.
  4. On the Work Capture page, in the Job Stop and Labor areas provide the requested information.
  5. In the Steps area do one of the following:
    • For a step, select a status from the Step Skill Status list. If you select a status of Partial or Mark Step as Not Applicable, you must add a Status Note.
    • To complete the same skill in all steps, click Complete All {XX} Step Skills.
Note: The skill that is displayed on the Complete All {xx} Step Skills button, is the skill for the labor row you are finishing.
  6. Click OK.
The labor row is complete. If necessary, you can edit the Work Capture, however, you can only edit the step skill status if the task status is active. You can't edit the status of step skills on tasks that are complete.
