Add job card steps to tasks or faults

To provide instructions and record sign-off, you can manually add steps to tasks and faults. A task or fault might already have steps from job card definitions, executable requirements, or repair references, but you might need to add additional steps for work such as cleaning.

Steps from task definitions and repair references are grouped together and can't be edited, moved, or reordered. You can edit, remove, or reorder manually added steps.
  1. Go to the Task Details or Fault Details page.
  2. On the Task Execution tab, in the Steps area, click the Add Step button.
  3. On the Add Step page, enter a description of the step the technician must take and click OK.
  4. Optional: To remove an ad hoc step, on the Task Execution tab, in the Steps area, click Remove Step .
  5. Optional: To reorder steps, in the Steps area, click the Edit Step Order button.
