IFS Applications is installed using the IFS Applications Installer. This tool deploys the different application components in both the storage and middle tier. The client tier is typically deployed in the middle tier by this tool as well and then loaded in runtime using a zero deployment strategy (Click-Once for IFS Enterprise Explorer). IFS Enterprise Explorer can also be distributed/deployed in other ways (managed deployment or running from a share) - refer to the Implementing a Client Deployment Strategy for IFS Enterprise Explorer section in the installation guide for instructions.
Before being able to install IFS Applications a build needs to be created. This can be done using the IFS Configuration Builder tool and also involves compiling server and client source code into deployable/installable software.
