Schedule Work Package (Hangar Maintenance)

Explanation

Use this activity to schedule a hangar (heavy) work package after it is created, or to reschedule it if the maintenance window, location, or repair vendor changes. Unlike a line work package, a hangar check is not tied to an aircraft turn or a flight schedule. Instead, it is scheduled to a hangar location that is capable of performing the check, or it is sent to an external maintenance provider.

You schedule from the Aircraft Work Package page using the Schedule Work Package command, which offers two options:

Scheduling defines the time window and where the check will be carried out, which is a prerequisite for committing the workscope and publishing the work package to execution. For an overview of the work package lifecycle, see About Hangar Maintenance Work Packaging.
