Manually Set Aviation Task Transaction to Finally Posted
Explanation
When an aviation task transaction is marked Finally Posted, it is no longer included in
transfer runs and is no longer evaluated for reposting.
You can set finally posted manually only while the aviation task is not closed. On the Tasks
Overview tab of hangar or line work package commercials, select the aviation task and run Set as
Finally Posted. The command is on the aviation task, not on individual cost lines or transactions. Cost
lines and transactions show the Finally Posted indicator only.
After the aviation task is closed, Set as Finally Posted is disabled. Transactions are then set
to Finally Posted automatically through transfer and reposting when each transaction is
transferred, reposting is not needed, and all conditions are met. Use this activity before the task is closed when
transactions should be excluded from further reposting even though posting control or pre-posting values have
changed.

Prerequisites
- The aviation task transactions must have been transferred to finance. They must be in status
Transferred, or Not Applicable with a voucher on the posting (this is for
external reposting transactions).
- The aviation task transaction must not have a WIP cost code.
- The aviation task transaction must not require reposting.
- The aviation task must not be in status Finished.
Procedure
- Open the Hangar Maintenance Work Package Commercials or Line Maintenance Work
Package Commercials page. See View Work Package Commercials and
View Line Maintenance Work
Package Commercials.
- Select the work package.
- On the Tasks Overview tab, select the aviation task.
- Run Set as Finally Posted.
System Effects
- The Finally Posted indicator is set on each affected aviation task transaction and shown on
the related cost lines.
- When all aviation task transactions on the task are finally posted, the finally posted option on the aviation
task is selected.
- Finally posted transactions are no longer reposted or included in transfer assistants.
- You can remove the finally posted flag if needed. See Remove Finally Posted on Aviation Task.
