Reposting Aviation Task Transactions

Explanation

Reposting updates the accounting lines on aviation task transactions when pre-posting or posting setup changes after costs were reported or even after transactions were transferred to accounting. This lets maintenance and finance work proceed before every accounting detail is final, while still ending with correct postings.

When Reposting Is Needed

Reposting is triggered when there is a difference between the accounting information on the transaction and the current setup, for example:

How Reposting Works

Reposting by Cost Type

Finally Posted

Transactions are evaluated for reposting until marked Finally Posted. While the aviation task is not closed, you can set or remove finally posted manually from the aviation task on the Tasks Overview tab of hangar or line work package commercials. Cost lines and transactions show the indicator only. After the task is closed, finally posted is handled through transfer and reposting when each transaction is transferred, reposting is not needed, and all conditions are met. Finally posted transactions are no longer reposted unless the finally posted flag is removed. See Manually Set Aviation Task Transaction to Finally Posted and Remove Finally Posted on Aviation Task.
