Task supervision
The Task Supervision tab provides the heavy maintenance crew lead with visibility of all tasks assigned to their crew between start and end times. From this tab, crew leads supervise and correct issues related to the recorded labor of technicians.
Technicians complete or job stop a labor row to record work and provide time tracking information. If a technician forgets, or is otherwise unable, to stop time tracking on a task, Maintenix provides crew leads with options for adjusting the labor logged by technicians in their respective labor rows.
The Task Supervision tab provides the crew lead with visibility of the problem, and allows them to stop the situation from continuing and correct the data if necessary. Crew leads, with the appropriate privileges, can search for tasks, assigned to their crew, that are scheduled to start between a specific start and end date. After searching, they can view and correct the time tracked for labor rows.
The Task Supervision tab provides crew leads the ability to:
- Monitor progress of scheduled tasks within a specified time window – regardless of task status.
- Address inaccuracies in time tracking, and, if applicable, edit the work performed scheduled hours and the actual hours.
- Perform a job stop by proxy, for technicians who are otherwise unable to perform one.
- Assign or unassign a technician to or from a labor row.
Each crew has a list of assigned tasks, depending on the start date and end date provided as search criteria. Tasks have columns providing information about that task, including: the task name, the task status, the aircraft, and the work location. Certain columns are enhanced with hyperlinks you can click to open the associated details pages. When you close a details page, you return to the Task Supervision tab.
- the technician name – if there is none, it is displayed as "Unassigned". This is a hyperlink to the Labor Details page.
- the labor row stage: ACTV, IN WORK, CANCEL, and COMPLETE. This is the "status" of the labor row, not the task.
- the job stop reason – for example, SHIFT or PARTS.
- the elapsed time: the hours elapsed between the start and current date/time.
- the scheduled hours: the scheduled hours for that job.
- the actual hours: the actual hours logged for that job.
