Subtasks on faults

If you don't select references for fault repairs (and the labor skills and steps are not automatically copied to the fault), you can use an alternative manual workflow of adding subtasks to faults to describe the work required to fix the fault.

Technicians can add subtasks when they raise the fault, or the engineer can do so following a review of the fault. Subtasks can be based on job card task definitions, requirements, or can be raised as ad hoc tasks.

Technicians can also create ad hoc repetitive tasks to monitor open faults, for example, to schedule the inspection of a component for which there are concerns, to help determine when the resolution of the fault should be done. You can also add repetitive tasks to a fault that has been addressed, but that has not been completed in Maintenix to verify that the work done to address the fault was indeed successful.
