Edit kit definitions

After you have completed a kit definition by adding parts to the kit number, you can edit the kit contents, or remove content from a kit.

  1. On the Part Details page, Kit Contents tab, click Edit Kit Contents.
  2. On the Edit Kit Contents page, adjust the following information as needed:
    • Qty: The required quantity of the item.
    • Value Pct: The percentage of the total kit contents that the item should comprise. You can also click Accept Suggested Value Pct to use the value percentage breakdown suggested by Maintenix.
    • Valid Alternates: Clear or select the check box to the left of each valid alternate item to remove or add the item.
  3. When the Total Value is 100%, click OK.
  4. On the Part Details page, Kit Contents tab, click Edit Kit Contents.
  5. On the Edit Kit Contents page, do the following:
    • On the line of the part group to remove, set the Value Pct value to 0 (zero).
    • Adjust the Value Pct of the content lines that remain in the kit so that the Total Value is 100 percent.
    • Click Apply to save your changes.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • On the Edit Kit Contents page, select the part group, and click Remove Part Group.
    • On the Part Details page, Kit Contents tab, select the part group, and click Remove Content from Kit.
