Create a component airworthiness directive

  1. On the Reference Document Search page, click Create Reference Document.
  2. On the Create Reference Document page, provide the requested information, paying attention to the following fields:
    • Reference Document Type: Select Config Slot.
    • Code: Enter the AD number.
    • Name: Enter the AD name or subject.
    • Assembly: Select the applicable aircraft or sub-assembly.
    • Config Slot: Select the applicable tracked slot.
    • Class: Select AD (Airworthiness Directive).
    • Subclass: Select the appropriate subclass.
    • Originator: Select AD (Airworthiness Directive).
    • Received By: The default is your user name. If the AD was received by someone else, enter that person's user name.
    • Received Date: Enter the date that you received the AD.
    • Issued By: Select REGBODY.
    • Regulatory Body: Select the regulatory body that issued the AD.
    • Issue Date: Enter the date that the regulatory body issued the AD.
    • Amendment Number: Enter the AD amendment number, if applicable.
    • Applicability Description: Enter the AD applicability/effectivity.
    • Description: Enter the reason for the AD.
    • Revision Contact: The default is your user name. If someone else is responsible for dispositioning the AD, enter that person's user name.
      Note: The effective date and the required actions and compliance times sections included in the original AD do not need to be included in this reference document.
  3. Click OK.
