Microsoft Office Language Packs | The machine that hosts IFS Business Reporter Execution Server must have a MS Office version installed that matches the locale, Culture Info, of the end user's regional settings. Else install the MS Office MUI (Multilingual User Interface) according to the end users' locale. Note: This prerequisite is needed when running BRES in VSTO mode only. |
|||
Microsoft Office Excel | According to the Microsoft Office Products section of the Supported Platforms for IFS Cloud. MS Excel is needed if IFS Business Reporter Execution Server is running in VSTO mode. |
Professional Plus | If a customized installation is performed, please make sure that the .NET Programmability Support feature is selected. Note: This prerequisite is needed when running BRES in VSTO mode only. |
Problems have been found related to Office 365. It is not recommended to install and use the 365 Office version on a computer hosting IFS Business Reporter Execution Server. Since IFS Business Reporter Reporter Server is regarded as a server application, the recommendation is to use an on-premises version of Office. Please note that for this scenario there is small possibility that report designers might get access to Excel functionality that is not yet available in the on-premises version which can lead to that that the Execution Server cannot render the reports correctly. It is not possible to install IFS Business Reporter for many users if Microsoft Office 365 is used since it is based on single prescriptions. |
Adobe Reader | According to the Non-Microsoft Server products section of the Supported Platforms for IFS Cloud. | Not mandatory. Not needed if IFS Business Reporter Execution Server is running in OOXML mode. IFS Business Reporter reports can be set up to open as PDF. This applies for reports opened within IFS Cloud Web via Order Report dialog or via the report archive. To make this work it will be necessary to install Adobe Acrobat Reader on the machine where IFS Business Reporter Execution Server will run. |
