IFS Administration and Configuration Guide

The IFS Administration and Configuration Guide is the primary documentation for System Administrators when it comes to configuring, maintaining, and monitoring installations of IFS Applications. The tasks that an Administrator performs once IFS Applications is installed are described in this book.

This includes administrative tasks such as adding users, assigning privileges and permissions, monitoring of queues, and starting and stopping processes. It also contains information on how to configure the system to fit the users and the organization. This includes tasks such as defining event actions, adding your own data fields or custom menu options, setting up integration with other systems etc.

There is a Admin Landing Page that is specific for administrators which holds links to the tools for administration. The End User Landing Page and the Admin Landing Page are separated to allow better restrictions on the Administrative tools (in e.g. firewalls) and enhance security. Hence there is no link between End User Landing Page to the Admin Landing Page.

Documentation on how to install IFS Applications can be found in the IFS Installation Guide.

The content of this guide is grouped into a number or domains. A domain is a group of logical related Foundation1 concepts.
