Create locations

You can create locations to represent places where inventory is stored, where maintenance work is performed, or the state of inventory. For example, a location can be a warehouse bin, an airport, or in transit.

1. On the Location Search page, click Create Location.
2. On the Create Location page, provide the requested information and click OK.
3. Optional: To add a capability (work type and assembly) to a track, line or shop location, on the Location Details, Capability tab, click Assign Capability, then select the Work Type and one or more assemblies. Click OK.
   Tip: To assign all assemblies to the location, select Any Part
4. Optional: To specify any of the following, on the Location Details, click the edit button , select or enter values and then click OK.
   • Track capacity (maintenance or repair locations)
   • Minimum ground time (Hangar, Line)
   • Line maintenance buffer (Hangar, Line)
   • Overnight capacity shift (Hangar, Line)
5. Optional: To specify Repairable part numbers at Repair or Shop locations, on the Location Details, Repairable Parts tab, click Assign Part. Click OK.
