You can create locations to represent places where inventory is stored, where maintenance work is performed, or the state of inventory. For example, a location can be a warehouse bin, an airport, or in transit.
- On the Location Search page, click Create Location.
- On the Create Location page, provide the requested information and click OK.
- Optional: To add a capability (work type and assembly) to a track, line or shop location, on the Location Details, Capability tab, click Assign Capability, then select the Work Type and one or more assemblies. Click OK.
Tip: To assign all assemblies to the location, select Any Part
- Optional: To specify any of the following, on the Location Details, click the edit button
, select or enter values and then click OK.- Track capacity (maintenance or repair locations)
- Minimum ground time (Hangar, Line)
- Line maintenance buffer (Hangar, Line)
- Overnight capacity shift (Hangar, Line)
- Optional: To specify Repairable part numbers at Repair or Shop locations, on the Location Details, Repairable Parts tab, click Assign Part. Click OK.
