Rob parts

You can take a part from one aircraft to use on another that has a more urgent repair need. This is called robbing a part. To do this, you must:
  • Raise a fault against the aircraft that is being robbed, and request a replacement part.
  • Remove the part from the aircraft being robbed, and record the work completed.
  • Cancel the original part request for the aircraft needing repair.
  • Install the robbed part on the aircraft requiring repair, and record the work completed.
  • Install a new part on the aircraft that was robbed, and record the work completed.

Raising a fault and requesting parts immediately grounds the aircraft until the task is completed or deferred.

  1. On your to-do list, Fleet List tab, select an aircraft, and click Raise Logbook Fault.
  2. On the Raise Logbook Fault page, What to do area, select Log fault and request part immediately.
