Shift Setup tab

The Shift Setup tab allows you to view, create, and delete shifts. A shift is the period of time that a person spends at work; it has a defined start time and a duration. The net hours worked in a shift can be less than the shift duration, if breaks are allowed. Shifts are used by various Maintenix planning tools to set the nominal capacity available at maintenance locations.

The following buttons appear on the Shift Setup tab:

Create Shift: Click this button to create a new shift.
Delete Shift: Select a shift, then click this button to delete it.

The table on the Shift Setup tab contains the following columns:

Shift: The name of the shift. Click on the name to view the shift details.
Start Hour: The time the shift begins.
Duration: The total number of hours in the shift.
Work Hours: The number of working hours in the shift.
