Record an unexpected part found

If you find an unexpected part in a bin while counting inventory, you can manually add the part number to the bin location and record a count for it.

An unexpected part is a part number that does not have any bin levels or inventory for a bin location.
Note: Bin levels are not automatically created for unexpected parts.
  1. On either the Ad Hoc Count tab or the Cycle Count tab, click .
  2. In the Add Unexpected Part window, enter the barcode or the part number.
  3. If the part number exists in the system with more than one manufacturer, select the applicable manufacturer.
  4. Click Add Part.
    The part is added to the bottom of list of parts to count for the bin.
