Tally sheets

In heavy maintenance visit, when all of the tasks and faults in a work package are complete, the production controller can generate and print a tally sheet.

The tally sheet contains a line for each task and fault in the work package. Tally sheets are commonly used by your organization's finance department to track maintenance costs associated with each maintenance check.

Line maintenance can print an ordered tally sheet for the work package. The ordered tally sheet contains a line for every task and fault, in an order you choose. Line mechanics use ordered tally sheets during maintenance execution, and specify that tasks are carried out in a particular order, and ensure that the required tools are available and are not being used by a competing task.

Access to the Print Tally Sheet, Print Ordered Tally Sheet, and Edit Tally Line Order buttons on the Work Package Details page is controlled by permissions.

The production controller can double-check each line on the sheet to ensure that each task has been performed correctly, and initial each line to keep track of which tasks are done, and which are not. The tasks and faults do not have to be complete in order to generate a tally sheet. See Print tally sheets or Print ordered tally sheets.

After each line has been double-checked, the production controller can sign the bottom of the tally sheet, and hand the sheet to the technical records department.
