Running LPA and viewing results
When you run Line Planning Automation, Maintenix does the following for each aircraft:
-
Removes the results of the previously completed LPA run for that aircraft type from the Line Planning Automation to-do list tab page.
-
Derives the ground schedule for the aircraft from the flight schedule.
-
Identifies the ground stops when excluded work packages are scheduled, and excludes these ground stops and work packages from LPA.
-
Attempts to schedule turn and service checks at the most suitable ground stop by creating new work packages or rescheduling existing work packages as required.
-
LPA does not schedule more than one work package for a ground stop.
-
LPA schedules service work packages first, then turn work packages.
-
When LPA reschedules an existing turn or service work package, it updates all variable elements that are included in the work package name to their current value. For example, if the code of the arrival airport is included in the work package name, and the arrival airport where LPA reschedules the work package changes due to a change in the flight schedule, LPA uses the most recent airport code in the work package name. See Turn and service work package names.
-
-
Records any issue that prevents the scheduling of a work package in any of the previous steps.
-
Alerts designated users at the completion of each LPA run. The alert indicates whether LPA completed with or without issues.
- At least one block definition is assigned to the aircraft type you selected.
- The block definitions are activated.
- Automation was enabled for the aircraft type on the Line Check Settings page.
