Prepare Work Package
Explanation
Use this activity to prepare a work package in CAMO so that it is complete and ready to be published to
execution. Preparing a work package brings together the scope of work, the material and labour it needs, and its
schedule, so that everything required is in place before the aircraft or component arrives for maintenance.
Preparation is carried out by the planner on the Aircraft Work Package page after the
work package has been created and scheduled. It covers the Workscope Generation and
Commitment stages of the work package lifecycle. For an overview of the full lifecycle, see
About Hangar Maintenance Work Packaging.
Prerequisites
Procedure
Open the work package on the Aircraft Work Package page and complete the following
steps.
- Confirm the scope of work. Assign any outstanding unassigned tasks and faults to the work package, and remove
any that do not belong. See Assign Tasks and Faults and
Unassign Tasks And Faults.
- Generate the workscope to compile the tasks and faults into a structured workscope. See Generate Workscope.
- Verify the resource and material requirements: check the labour requirements, tools, and parts for the tasks.
See Update Labour Requirements and Auto Reservation of Tools / KITs / Parts.
- Commit the workscope to lock in the scope of work. See Commit Work
Package.
Once the work package is prepared, publish it to execution. See Publish
Work Package.
System Effects
- The work package has a generated workscope and confirmed material and labour requirements.
- After the workscope is committed, the work package status changes to Committed.
